Musical and pedagogical legacy of František Maršálek

The diploma thesis deals with an important musician from Litoměřice, pianist, teacher and composer František Maršálek (1921-2013), who was also the director of the Litoměřice Art School in 1951-1985. His life, his work at the Litoměřice Art School and his composing activities are gradually described in the individual chapters. Part of the work is devoted to the memories of Maršálek's former students and colleagues. Selected Maršálek's compositions are finally presented in the last part of the work.

The Litoměřice Gradual of 1517 Subject of this thesis is a detailed analysis of monographic Utraquist Gradual from Litoměřice, dated to the year 1517 (Lovosice, SOA, IV C 1).The study involves a review of the published literature to date on and consistent formal and iconographic analysis decorations. In the introduction, the manuscript was partially studied in terms of cultural and historical context of its origin and dating. The donors, Jakub Ronovský and Vaclav Řepnický, are introduced in the extant sources and in connection with a major Utraquist Brotherhood at the Church of All Saints in Litoměřice. Chapter 2.2 extensively elaborates on the issue of dating the manuscript. Personality anonymous, who painted manuscript, evaluated chapter 2.3. Unknown origin painters compensate in this work a comprehensive study of creative expression illuminators and their possible inspiration. In the foreground are highlighted especially the analogy with the second generation of the Danube School and graphic designs from the late 15th century. Sacral architecture and agglomeration of medieval town Litoměřice

This diploma thesis aims to approach the royal town Litoměřice in the medieval form, then agglomeration structure and sacral architecture of this town. Litoměřice excels especially in terms of the richness of their heritage fund and by this thesis I would like to commemorate especially disappeared monuments, churches, which were located here. I would like to contain my thesis like a monography of early medieval town Litoměřice with an enumeration of churches, fortification, castle and medieval houses.

It is continuation of process of classification of oldest prints of the Litomerice's chapter house's library (of prints of the second half of the 16th century) and describe this process. It introducts professional public in the contemporary context with some single entities, that represent historical and artistic wealth of the Litomerice's chapter house's library.

Magdeburg law in Bohemia and Moravia in the period of 14th to 16th century Abstract This thesis aims to discuss the development and form of Magdeburg law in the period of 14th to 16th century including the analysis of existing research about Magdeburg law. The thesis is mainly focused on Litoměřice and Olomouc as the heads of Magdeburg municipal family in Bohemia and Moravia. The thesis is based on the comprehensive analysis of Magdeburg law beginning with its origins and development trends and ending with the description and characteristic of its legal sources as well as its most important legal institutes. The thesis uses not only legal-historical, but also historical and auxiliary historical methods, specifically the method of legal analysis of the text, diplomatic method, comparative method and analysis of the literature. The aim of the thesis is first, to present the state of historical research and literature on Magdeburg law. The goal here is to offer the reader a comprehensive overview of current trends in the research, pending discourse and the various approaches to Magdeburg law. The second aim is to analyse the development of Magdeburg law with the special focus on Litoměřice and Olomouc, which could be described as the most important appealing cities within the Magdeburg legal area in Bohemia...
